How we source
We favor primary research, systematic reviews, consensus statements, regulatory documents, and established scientific databases. Numbered references appear at the end of long-form articles and link to the original source.
How to read our citations
A citation supports the specific statement around which it appears; it should not be interpreted as endorsement of claims beyond the source's design or findings.
